The “oldest and best” argument is not proven. No carbon dating of Sinaiticus. Lost of changes on Vaticanus. Simonides claimed authorship of Sinaiticus which Constatine Tischendorf discovered in a monastery, including notations he put in the document. Simonides challenged Tischendorf to a public debate on the manuscript. Tischendorf never showed. Lemon juice was also apparently used to darken many of the pages and the pages show wear inconsistent with a document allegedly roughly 1450 years old. It may be closer to being 200 years old and written in the early 1800s. The assertion of “oldest and best” has yet to be definitively proven. I am not KJVO, though I do read the KJV. MY go to Bible is a Nelson NKJV wide margin.
Why in the world would you prefer a translation that lets verses out !? (The reason why I almost completely ignore any translation which is not based on the Majority Text)
