How is God asking you to live the simple and quiet life?

I’m giving my life to Jesus Christ today.🥹
Wow. 5:10 really hitting home. I’m pregnant with my 5th child right now, after a really really hard and refining past 2 years, and I’ve just been saying how unreal it is that He’s giving me another baby after I’ve been failing so miserably. I’ve been saying that this is a promotion!! He’s promoting me to Big Family Mom, and it was this that finally allowed me to let go of constantly trying to promote myself on my social media.. never contected the 2 until you said this! Wow. Lots to chew on for me, thank you.
God’s promotions don’t look like the type of promotion that we would give ourselves. But oh aren’t they so much better!?
Im 66. Retired and on the last “phase ” of life. I have slowed down, more isolated, thinking Im leading “a quiet life”. Yet, God is showing me what that REALLY means. Seeking the recognition of others on social media, feeling bitter because no one remembers my birthday, and thinking about the “legacy” I am leaving behind are ALL about promoting SELF. Thank you for your thoughts on this subject. The Lord used them to “fine tune” MY thoughts about what is HIS Will for me and what “a quiet life” is all about.
