I have always loved reading – but just in the last few years have I truly fallen in love with good Christian books.
There are so many incredible books with wisdom on how to grow closer to God and truly reach your full potential in Him. There are so many incredible mentors we can learn from through reading a book. We must commit to going to God’s word over any author, but let’s not neglect the way God is moving through people to reach us and share truth with us.
Here are some of my go-tos:
1. This Present Darkness (Frank E. Peretti) – This book completely changed the way I look at spiritual warfare. It was through this book (even though it’s completely fictional) that my eyes were opened to the spiritual battle we face on a daily basis, that we can’t even see. This book showed me the power of prayer and how I must go to the Word and prayer as my first line of defense when it comes to spiritual attacks. Also – be ready to stay up late reading this one. I couldn’t put it down!
2. The Purpose Driven Life (Rick Warren) – This book was the very first book I read about God. It was a 40 day devotional that helped me get to know God from ground zero. I kid you not – I had no knowledge of who God was or how to truly center my life around my faith. This book broke it down so practically that it actually helped change my life completely, and start a whole new chapter with God.
3. Ruthless Elimination of Hurry (John Mark Comer) – I love how practical this book is, when it comes to bringing us back to rest and Sabbath. This book showed me that I am so much more than what I do. And that I don’t need to allow what I do or the successes and failures of my life to define me. I love how funny and practical this book is. I’m not kidding – I think I read this in a week! It will help you prioritize rest in your life and help you feel refreshed in Christ.

THE BIBLE
Guys I need your help from fellow Christian to Christian. In the bible it says to always forgive someone, but every single time I forgive this one person, I get crushed over and over again. What should I do?💔
If anyone here is curious about Islam, I just want to share that Muslims believe in one God, the same God worshipped by prophets like Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (peace be upon them all). In Islam, Jesus is deeply respected as a prophet and messenger of God, but we believe that God is one and has no partners. The Qur’an teaches us to worship God alone, live with kindness, charity, and humility, and to seek forgiveness and guidance. Islam isn’t a new religion—it’s believed to be the continuation of the same message that all the prophets brought: to worship the One Creator. If you sincerely want to follow God and the message of the prophets, I encourage you to truly look into Islam with an open heart. Reading the Qur’an and learning about the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) can help you understand the message, and you might find that Islam is the truth you’ve been searching for.
