  1. I have just begun my personal biblical library, presently I have the Thompson chain reference Bible, a nkjv study Bible, the moody commentary and the moody how to study the Bible. It is a small collection but will be a treasure trove in the coming years.
I appreciate your insight into my growing collection πŸ™ thank you and much love in Christ

  2. Just love that you took the time to put this video out there. I cannot wait, so excited to hear you are indulging on some commentaries-i loved your book “Bearing Gods name” thank you and may our Lord and heavenly father guide you on all endeavors as His provision of Wisdom and Knowledge flood in abundance.

  3. I have the original EBC and have found them helpful. A solid Evangelical commentary.

I also have the NIBC. There are some good commentaries in that series, but some not so good. Moderate to liberal Mainline scholarship from a variety of traditions.

One thing I appreciate about the NIBC is that it also covers the Apocryphal/Deuterocanonical books.

I also have a variety of other helpful commentaries, some from sets and others not.

Some people may not be interested in buying commentaries, preferring instead to have a solid Study Bible.

I would recommend the Baker Illustrated Study Bible.

Absolutely one of the best, in my view.

It’s currently out of print, but will be republished this summer (2026) by Broadman and Holman.

  4. I keep hoping to see love for Peter Leithart or James B. Jordan here. I will keep hoping.
