I have the Cultural Background Study Bible, and the IVP Bible Background Commentary: New Testament. Indeed, they are excellent resources for better understanding of the ancient world and cultures of the Bible. Another one that I have, and is also very good for this is the First Century Study Bible.

I found a Africa study bible, it contains a lot of deep cultural facts that we may not find in others bec cross cultural facts are key to know ancient israeelli cultures. See Leviticus 12 purity laws for parturient woman and child which is shown in Luke 2.22 for Jesus and Mary purification. Scholars are ignorant about it. I have written an article on Postpartum and postmartum impurity of Jesus on Academia
